ELLINWOOD — Stanley Dale Schadel was born June 23, 1956 in Larned Kan. He fought a courageous battle with cancer and left this life on Feb. 1, 2021.  

Stan grew up on the farm north of Ellinwood and graduated from Ellinwood High School in 1974. Stan had a love for woodworking and looking around his house you could see his talent.

He married the love of his life, Lynda Wilson Schadel, on March 20, 2015. They were living in Jacksonville Fla. She survives. 

Stan is survived by their children Catherine Fellows and Jean Duffy, Maryland; Bryan Mosher and Russell Johnston, Norfolk Va.; and Lee Mosher, Alabama.; his parents, Dale and Donna Schadel, Great Bend Kan.; sister Dalonna Chavez, Joplin Mo.; and brother Russell Schadel, Ellinwood. Stan is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and 14 grandchildren. 

The family is appreciative of the help from Robert Wilson, Lynda’s brother, for taking care of Stan at the end of his life.

Memorial Services will be held at the Methodist Church, Ellinwood, Thursday, March 18, 2021 at 2:00. In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested  to the American Cancer Society.
