BUSHTON — Stanley Eugene “Red” Ramsey, 82, of Bushton, passed away October 10, 2018 at his home in Bushton. He was born December 15, 1935 in Pawhuska, Oklahoma, the son of Floyd and Agnes Potter Ramsey. He graduated from Lawrence High School in Lawrence, Kansas, with the class of 1954. Stanley has resided in Bushton since 1960, formerly of Lawrence, Kansas. He was a boilermaker with local 83 Kansas City, Missouri for 57 years, retiring in 1998. Stanley attended Bushton First United Methodist Church. On September 1, 1956, Stanley was united in marriage with Shirley Ireland in Camden, Missouri. She survives of the home. He is also survived by his three children, Connie Sue “Susie” Rippel and husband Stan of Bushton, KS, Dennis L. Ramsey and wife Kimberlee of Bushton, KS, Roy L. Ramsey and wife Patricia of Holyrood, KS; brother, Roger Ramsey and wife Marge of Valley Center, KS; four grandchildren, Brian Rippel and wife Laurie, Erica Jones and husband Tony, William Ramsey and wife Sarah, and Christopher Ramsey; six great-grandchildren, Alex, Caleb, Gunner, Isabella, Caitlyn, and Madison. He is preceded in death by his parents. Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M., Saturday, October 13, 2018 at Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons. Burial will be at Bushton Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 7:00 P.M., Friday, October 12, 2018 at Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons with family present from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Memorials can be made to Angels Care Home Health, Kindred Hospice or Claflin Ambulance in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons.
