Stella Arlene Marker Blevins 1937 2012

LANCASTER, Calif.— Stella Arlene Marker Blevins, 74, of Lancaster, Calif. lost a brief but courageous battle with cancer on May 21 with her three children by her bedside. She was born on Sept. 2, 1937 in Great Bend, and grew up in Ellinwood.
Stella graduated from Ellinwood High School in 1955 and shortly thereafter married her husband of 47 years, Jimmie Blevins of Chase. They moved to California where Stella provided a wonderful home for her family. Stella’s lifelong career was that of a passionate and dedicated wife and mother.
Stella is survived by her brother Clarence (Sally) Marker of Kingman, Ariz.; two sons, Kevin (Cindi) Blevins of St. George, Utah and Doug (Karen) Blevins of Four Seasons, Mo.; daughter, Diane Barker of Lancaster, Calif.; granddaughters, Laura Blevins of San Diego, Calif. and Racheal Blevins of St. George, Utah; grandsons, Jason Barker of Wichita and Alex Blevins of Four Seasons, Mo.; and great-granddaughter, “Joey” Blevins of St. George, Utah. She was preceded in death by her husband Jim; her parents, Clarence and Venita Marker; and her sister Karene Marker.  
No public services are planned. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
