HUTCHINSON — Stephen Joe "Steve" Bowman, 50, died Sept. 19, 2011, at Hospice House in Hutchinson.

He was born Aug. 29, 1961, at Okemah, Okla., the son of Willie V. and Leona Elvina Ingram Bowman. He attended school in Great Bend and Hoisington.

Survivors include a daughter, Makayla Bowman, Hutchinson; a son, Spencer Rubel, Kearney, Neb.; a brother, Michael Bowman, Overland Park; a sister, Theresa Habiger, Great Bend; and a stepmother, Lou Bowman, Kingman. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A celebration of life is scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, at First Church of God, 1224 Baker, Great Bend. Family and friends are welcome.
