Stephen M. Bair, 46, passed away on April 29, 2014 at his home in Great Bend.
Born on May 17, 1967, in Emporia, he was the son of David B. and Janice M. (Caudle) Bair. In 1985, he graduated from Great Bend High School and then attended the University of Southern Colorado in Pueblo, Colo. where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. He worked as a civil engineer in Pueblo, Colo. for two years until health conditions prevented him from working. On June 9, 1990, he was united in marriage to Tina M. Wolfe in Great Bend. They later divorced. In 2002, he moved back to Great Bend. He was an avid computer enthusiast and loved following politics.
Mr. Bair was an Eagle Scout, and got to meet President Gerald Ford through the Boy Scout program. He was also a bugler in the Argonne Rebels Drum & Bugle Corps in Great Bend. Survivors include two daughters, Kyrie Amanda May Bair, Lawrence; and Roseanna Marie Berger, Wauwatosa, Wis.; his father, David B. Bair and his wife, Leila, Wilson; his mother, Janice M. Bair, Pueblo, Colo.; his paternal grandmother, Laverne Bair, Plainville; a sister, Stacey and her husband, Tim Hart, Beulah, Colo.; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and ane brother, Travis Bair in 1997.
Steve’s body has been cremated, and memorial services will be held at a later date.
