Steven Manning 1947-2014

Steven D. Manning, 67, died Sept. 5 at Great Bend Regional Hospital.  Born Jan. 15, 1947 at Lebanon, Mo., he was the son of
Jesse Foster “Steve” and Mary (McFall) Manning.
Steven married Karen Oberle Feb. 6, 1976 at Great Bend.  He was a lifetime Great Bend resident, and was owner and operator of Manning Plumbing.  He was a United States Army veteran, serving during the Vietnam Conflict.  
Survivors include wife Karen Manning, of the home; two sons: Craig Manning and wife Katie of Shawnee, and Scott Manning and wife Nicole of Wichita; daughter Stacie Sullivan and husband Brian of Arnold, Mo.; sister Diana Herman of Lenexa; and five grandchildren.
Graveside Service will be Tuesday, Sept. 9, at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Name Catholic Cemetery in Bushton with Father Ted Stoecklein officiating.
Interment will be at Holy Name Catholic Cemetery, Bushton, with military rites by Fort Riley Honor Guard.  Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday, Sept. 8, at Bryant Funeral Home.  Rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Monday.  Memorials are suggested to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.  Condolences may be sent and notice viewed at www.bryantfh.net
