HUTCHINSON — Susan Marie Harms, 56, died Dec. 18 at her home in Hutchinson. Born Feb. 14, 1958, in McPherson, she was the daughter of Gustaf and Naomi Scheikofsky Nelson. She was a graduate of McPherson High School. On July 8, 1988, she married Robert Harms. He survives. She was a resident of Hutchinson the last 23 years.
Other survivors include her mother, Naomi Lackey of Hutchinson; a daughter, Lydia Turnbull and husband Andrew, of Hutchinson; and a granddaughter, Rosaline Turnbull. She was preceded in death by her father; and a sister, Sonja Nelson.
Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 23, at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home and Crematory in Hutchinson, with Pastor Wayne Pittman presiding. Cremation is planned. Friends may sign the memorial book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hutchinson Animal Shelter, in care of the funeral home.
