CLAFLIN – Teresa M. Kaiser, 87, died April 3, 2013 at Clara Barton Hospital, Hoisington.
She was born May 24, 1925 at Ellinwood, the daughter of Anton “Tony” and Barbara (Auburger) Kowalsky.
Teresa married Pete Krier June 18, 1946, in Ellinwood. He died August 13, 1955. She married Robert Kaiser Nov. 20, 1957 at Dubuque. He died June 28, 2003.
A lifelong Claflin resident and homemaker, Teresa was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Altar Society, and the Daughters of Isabella, all of Claflin. She enjoyed woodworking, sewing, cooking and fishing.
Survivors include six children, Thomas Krier and wife Shirley, Excelsior Springs, Mo.; Dennis Krier and wife Karen, Great Bend; Sheryl Oberle and husband Ron, Janesville, Wis.; Pete L. Krier and wife Lois, Claflin; Robert “Bob” Kaiser and wife Victoria, Odin; David Kaiser and friend Linda, Claflin; and a sister, Delores Petz, McCracken.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands; a son, Barry Kaiser; four brothers, Tony Kowalsky, Leo Kowalsky, Melvin Kowalsky, and Herman Kowalsky, and four sisters, Matilda Kincaid, Margaret Malone, Gertrude McIntire, and Jeanette Clair.
A Vigil with Altar Society Rosary is scheduled at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Claflin. A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Claflin with Father Charles Mazouch officiating. Interment will be at the Claflin Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home, 415 N. Main, Hoisington.
