Thelma Elaine Hannaford 1936 - 2011

Thelma Elaine Hannaford, 75, died Aug. 6 at Promise Regional Medical Center in Hutchinson. Born Feb. 18, 1936, in Agra, she was the daughter of LeRoy and Lois May Mona (Smith) Stockham. On April 1, 1958, she married Calvin Ellwood Hannaford in Oakley. He died on Oct. 20, 1996. A resident of Great Bend since 1966, coming from Colby, she was a homemaker.

Survivors include a son, Dennis R. Hannaford and wife Teresa of Great Bend; a daughter, Nyla J. Lonnon of Great Bend; seven grandchildren, Dawn Holloway and husband Jay, Douglas Meredith, Lee Jacobs, Amanda Lonnon and fiance James, and Teri Charles and husband Cain, all of Great Bend, Randi Legleiter and husband Mike, and Kara Lonnon, all of Rush Center; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four brothers; two sisters; and one grandson, Brian Lonnon.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday at Bryant Funeral Home with the Rev. Dick Ogle officiating. Burial will be at the Great Bend Cemetery. Friends may visit from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association, Barton County Relay for Life or the Arthritis Foundation, in care of the funeral home.
