HAYS — Theresa M. Meier, 84, of Hays, died April 12, 2012 at the Hays Medical Center.
Born on Nov. 9, 1927 in Missouri, she was raised by the Joe Weber family in Ellis.
On Oct. 7, 1946, she married Milton E. Meier in Ellis. She was a homemaker while her children were growing up, and later worked as a cook and baker at Lincoln Elementary School for 11 years in Hays.
Mrs. Meier was a member of the Christian Mothers of Antonino and the Our Lady, Help of Christians Catholic Church in Antonino.
Survivors include her husband, of the home; three sons, Howard Meier, Great Bend; Douglas Meier, Olympia, Wash.; and Steven Meier, Hays; a daughter Susan Kay May, Hays; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by brothers, Paul, Frank, Leo, Carl, Joseph L., Engelbert, Ambrose, John J. and Herman Weber; and sisters, Frances Neuberger, Barbara Schafer, Sophie Brown, Anna Yoder, Cecelia Weber, and Mary Beer.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Our Lady, Help of Christians Catholic Church in Antonino. Burial will be at the church cemetery. A Christian Mothers rosary will be at 6:30 p.m. followed by a parish vigil service at 7:30 p.m., both on Friday at the funeral home.
Friends may call from 4 until 8 p.m. Friday and from 9 until 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, all at the funeral home.   Memorials are suggested to Our Lady, Help of Christian Catholic Church, Antonino or to TMP-Marian High School in Hays.
