ELLINWOOD — Thomas J. (Jack) Dunn, 78, died Jan., 9, at his home in Abilene. Born May 8, 1935 in Hanston, he was the son of Thomas A. and Lillian Schecter Dunn. On Sept. 26, 1954, he married Barbara J. Stairrett in Jetmore. She passed away Sept. 6, 2013.
He was a machinist.
Mr. Dunn was a member of N.R.A. and was of the Christian faith.
Survivors include: one son, Michael Dunn of Ellinwood; three daughters, Karla Dunn and partner Vic Garcia, of Great Bend, Pamela Dunn and partner Ron Sarno, of Council Grove, and Debra Blunden and husband Wayne, of Abilene; two sisters, Wanda Berger of Jetmore, and Connie Salmans of Dodge City; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Wayne Dunn
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday at the United Presbyterian Church in Jetmore with Pastor Mark Durham presiding. Burial will be at the Fairmount Cemetery following the service. Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday and Friday at the Beckwith Funeral Home in Jetmore.
