Tom McGlinn    1937 - 2015

Tom McGlinn, 78, died Oct. 24, 2015, at Kansas Heart Hospital in Wichita. Born Oct. 16, 1937, in Lyons, he was the son of Leo and Frances (Kiley) McGlinn. On Sept. 15, 1962, he married JoAnn Bieberle at Holy Name Catholic Church in Bushton. A resident of Great Bend since 1959, coming from Chase he was co-owner and operator of T & C Manufacturing, J. A. S. and U. C. S.
Mr. McGlinn served in the National Guard. He was a member of Peace Parish at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church and a 4th Degree Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include his wife, JoAnn McGlinn, of the home; two daughters, Pam Dahlstrom and her husband Dennis and Kim McGlinn, both of Wichita; and one grandson, Branden Dahlstrom. He was preceded in death by one brother, Bob McGlinn and two sisters, Mary Gertrude Kirsh and Norma Ann Van Horn.
Vigil service with Knights of Columbus Rosary will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday at Bryant Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Great Bend with Father Don Bedore officiating. Burial will be at the Great Bend Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Prince of Peace Parish or American Heart Association, in care of the funeral home.
