MACKSVILLE — Tony L. Tranbarger, 53, passed away Aug. 4, 2016 at his home. Born Apr. 6, 1963 at Larned, he was the son of Larry E. and Carol A. (Mills) Tranbarger.
A life-long Macksville resident, he was a farmer. He graduated from Macksville High School in 1981 and received a BS Degree in Agriculture from McPherson College. Tony was an athlete and was voted most outstanding athlete his senior year of college for football and track.
Survivors include a son, Cody Tranbarger, Louisville, Ken.; his parents, Larry and Carol Tranbarger, Macksville; two brothers, Tad Tranbarger (Shannon), Macksville, and Ty Tranbarger (Kayla), Macksville; and a sister, Lesa Ensz (Steve), Garden City.
Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, Aug. 8, 2016 at the Macksville Christian Church, with Pastor Steve Ensz presiding. Burial will follow in the Farmington Cemetery, Macksville. Closed casket visitation will be at Minnis Chapel, 205 N. Main,Macksville, on Sunday from 1-5 p.m. with family present from 3-4 p.m. Memorials may be given to the National Alliance on Mental Illness of Kansas, in care of Minnis Chapel, P.O.
