ELLINWOOD — Tonya K. Miller, 46, died Dec. 30 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. Born Nov. 6, 1967 in Great Bend, she was the daughter of Douglas D. and Joy (Axman) Wilson. In 1986 she graduated from Ellinwood High School. On March 21, 2002 she married Martin Miller in Great Bend. A lifetime resident of Ellinwood and a resident of Great Bend, she was employed by Cellular One and Great Bend Eye Care and spent the last 11 years as a homemaker and mom to twin boys, Eli and Asher, born in 2004. Always outgoing and generous, she was happiest being with her family and thoroughly enjoyed riding horses with her sons.
Mrs. Miller attended Immanuel United Church of Christ in Ellinwood.
Survivors include her husband, Martin Miller, of the home; twin sons, Eli Miller and Asher Miller both of the home; mother, Joy Schlochtermeier and her husband Paul of Ellinwood; and three sisters, Deanna Hulse and Diana Watson, both of Great Bend, and Karen Hammersmith and her husband Joe of Hutchinson. She was preceded in death by her father, Doug Wilson.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday at the Immanuel United Church of Christ, 701 N. Fritz Ave., in Ellinwood with Pastor Kasey Crosby officiating. A private family interment will be held at Lakin-Comanche District Cemetery in Ellinwood. Visitation will be held from 1 to 9 p.m. on Thursday at Bryant Funeral Home.
