HOISINGTON—Troy Edward Bressler, 64, died Sunday, Sept. 30 at Clara Barton Hospital in Hoisington. Born July 17, 1948 at Great Bend, he was the son of Donald and Vera (Lowry) Bressler.
Troy, a lifelong Hoisington resident, graduated from Hoisington High School in 1966 and attended Pratt Community College on a football scholarship. He was the owner of Worth Heating and Electric in Hoisington. Troy was an active member of the Hoisington Chamber of Commerce and a past president.  He was currently serving on the Hoisington Recreation Commission Board. He served on the USD #431 School board and was a member of Jaycees. Troy was very involved in supporting the Hoisington Community and his service was invaluable to the Labor Day celebration. He coached Little League and Babe Ruth baseball for years and was currently officiating football games, basketball games, baseball and softball games for kids of all ages. Troy enjoyed sports, being around kids, riding his Harley Davidson, golfing and spending time with his children and grandchildren and watching their activities.
He married Stacey Bressler on August 7, 1982 in Hoisington.
Survivors include his wife, Stacey of the home; two sons, Nathan Bressler of Los Angeles, Calif. and Dustin Rupp of Newton; three daughters, Skye Ketter and husband Matt, Chloe Peale and husband Ben both of Ft. Walton, Fla. and Jamie Klug and husband Darren of Newton; one sister, Ramona Bressler Becker of Wichita; five grandchildren, Irv Ketter, Gwyneth and Callum Peale, Isaac and Adalyn Klug and two nieces, Keli and Megan Kastrup.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Loree Achenbach.
Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 4 at Hoisington First United Methodist Church with Pastor Kris Brinlee officiating. Burial will follow at Hoisington Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday, Oct. 3, from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. with family receiving friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home in Hoisington. Memorials are suggested to the Hoisington Recreation Commission in care of Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home, PO Box 146, Hoisington, KS 67544.
