LARNED — Urban Iru Huddleston, 97, passed away July 31, 2017, at Locust Grove Village in La Crosse.
He was born July 21, 1920, in Alexander, the son of Claude T. and Creta Marie Wright Huddleston. A lifetime area resident, living in Larned since 1945, he was a mechanic. On Dec. 25, 1942, he married Clara Anna Boese in Tulsa, Okla. She passed away Sept. 20, 2002.
He was a member of the Larned Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include, a son, Glen (Cyndee) Huddleston, Larned; a daughter, Sherry (Charlie) DeHaan, Hays; a brother, Alton W. (LaVerne) Huddleston, Alexander; four grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Claudine Huddleston and Floy Coddington.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Beckwith Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Ryan Webster presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and 1-8 p.m. Sunday at Beckwith Mortuary. Burial will be in Larned Cemetery with military graveside rites.
