CLAFLIN — V. Lenora Musgrove, 84, died Nov. 11 at Woodhaven Care Center, Ellinwood. She was born May 20, 1927 in Leedey, Okla., the daughter of William Braxton and Bertha (McKay) Yarbrough.
She married J C Musgrove Feb. 23, 1952 at Tucumcari, N.M. He died March 26, 1999. She was a homemaker, worked for Southwestern Bell Phone Company and as a salesperson for J. C. Penney. She was a Claflin resident since 1993, coming from Great Bend. She loved to cook, sew quilts, and spend time with her grandchildren
She is survived by two sons, Steve Musgrove and wife Brenda of Great Bend and Jim Musgrove and wife Barbara of Claflin; one daughter, Brenda Gross and husband Kevin of Great Bend; two sisters, Alene Scott of San Antonio, Texas and Launa Sharp of El Paso, Texas; two brothers, Verdi Yarbrough and Vernon Yarbrough both of Amarillo, Texas; and grandchildren, Clint and Erica Musgrove, Luke Musgrove, Bobbi and John Cuffe, Spencer Musgrove, Jodi Musgrove, Trent Musgrove, Tasha Gross, Brandon Gross and Jacy Gross; and great-grandchild, Ella Musgrove. She was preceded in death by five brothers, Lee, Cecil, Clarence, Lewis and infant brother Troy Yarbrough, and one sister, Omega Woodward.
The funeral service will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home, Hoisington. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., with family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m., today at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent and notice viewed at www.nicholsonrickefh.net.
