Verlin A. Wiles 1941-2014

ELLSWORTH — Verlin A. Wiles, 73, died Oct. 5 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. Born July 3, 1941, in Beloit, he was the son of Arthur and Lorene Wiles.
Verlin was a resident of Ellsworth, where he worked for Moorman Feed Co. and most recently at Gene’s IGA Heartland Foods. He also carved decorative limestone rock as a hobby. Verlin married Vicki Reinert, July 3, 1976 at the United Methodist Church of Kanopolis. She survives him.
Other survivors include three sons, Steve and wife Marcie of Hutchinson, Doug Reinert and wife Michelle of Ottawa, and Lance of Ellsworth; daughter, Sandi and husband Ray Oberle of Claflin; 15 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Scott Reinert.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 11, at Ellsworth First United Methodist Church.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Verlin Wiles Memorial Fund, c/o Parsons Funeral Home, Box 45, Ellsworth, KS 67439.
