Vickie S. Keesling 1953 - 2014

CHASE — Vickie S. Keesling, 61, died Aug. 3, at Wesley Medical center in Wichita. Born Jan. 31, 1953, in Sterling, she was the daughter of Harold R. and Helen M. Miller Keesling. In 1971, she graduated from Chase High School and attended Barton County Community College. A lifetime resident of Chase, she was a Pharmaceutical Assistant at Hospira in McPherson and formerly worked at Fuller Brush Company in Great Bend for 38 years.
Ms. Keesling was baptized into the Lutheran faith.
Survivors include her mother, Helen Keesling of Chase; a brother, Randy Keesling and Pam of Lyons; two nephews, three nieces; three great-nephews; and six great-nieces. She was preceded in death by her father.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday at Birzer Funeral Home in Lyons with the Rev. Joel Grizzle officiating. Burial will be at the Lyons Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m., with family present from 5 to 7 p.m., on Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the Chase Senior Center or Lyons Fire Department in care of the funeral home.
