GREAT BEND — Viola L. Deutsch, 95, died Sept. 18, 2014 at Great Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Born May 1, 1919, in Otis she was the daughter of Fritz and Ethel (Foos) Kerbs. On June 19, 1938, she married Alvin Deutsch in Otis. He died on June 10, 1977. A resident of Great Bend since 1938, she was a homemaker.
Mrs. Deutsch was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Great Bend.
Survivors include one daughter, Judy Mitchell of Golden, Colo.; one sister, Mary Ann Stone of Lee’s Summit, Mo.; one brother, Carl Kerbs of Saratoga, Wyo.; five grandchildren, Gwen Cade, Daiquiri Cade-Kovalcik, Craig Cade, Gregory Cade, and Misty Florez; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by two sons, Jerry and Donald Deutsch; and by a brother, Fred Kerbs.
Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Monday at Bryant Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark P. Galbraith officiating. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Great Bend. Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, with family receiving friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the Trinity Lutheran Church in care of the funeral home.
