LARNED — Virgie J. Rector, 79, passed away Nov. 2 at Larned Healthcare Center. Born Oct. 1, 1932, she was the daughter of Charles T. Dalton Sr. and Alta Leatherman. A Larned resident since 1975, moving from Dodge City, she was a Licensed Mental Health Aide for the Larned State Hospital. On April 15, 1948, she married John G. Rector in Cimmaron. He passed away April 29, 1996.

She was of the Christian Faith.

Survivors include a son, Tracy, of Larned; two daughters, Connie Cox, of Coldwater, Darla Perez, of Larned; a brother, D. Dalton; three sisters, Judy Kosin and Diana Webster, both of Larned, and Eileen Youngs, of California; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Gayla Frymark and Carol Rector; two brothers, Charles Jr. and Victor; a sister, Carla; and a great-grandchild.

Graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at the Larned Cemetery with the Rev. Jack Singer presiding. Burial will be at the Larned Cemetery. Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. today and Friday at the Beckwith Mortuary. Memorials may be given to the Pawnee County Food Pantry in care of the funeral home.
