Virginia R. Musser, 86, of Great Bend, died Jan. 31 at Great Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born Feb. 3, 1924, at rural Lahoma, Okla., the daughter of Albert and Anna (Brackage) Decker. She married Charles J. Musser on Dec. 24, 1943, at Hondo, Texas. He died Aug. 27, 2006. A Great Bend resident since 1983, coming from Enid, Okla., she was a bookkeeper for Everitt Lumber.

Mrs. Musser was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Enid, Okla.

Survivors include one daughter, Barbara A. Hill of rural Hutchinson, and 14 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Patricia Lou Handzo; two brothers, Russell Decker and Donald Decker; and one sister, Bernice Winter.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Bryant Funeral Home in Great Bend, with the Rev. Kevin Baxter officiating. Interment will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Memorial Park Cemetery in Enid, Okla. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Hospice Care of Kansas or American Alzheimer’s Association, in care of the funeral home.
