Vonda Halfhill passed away March 27, 2024 in her home just like she wanted. She was born Aug. the 1st, 1966 in Great Bend Kan, to Bill and Kolita (Kirchgassner) Pulliam. Vonda graduated Hoisington High School in 1984. She married Toby Halfhill on May 8, 2009. in Great Bend, Kan.

Vonda was a resident of Great Bend Kan. coming from Larned and Hoisington. She worked for FIS Management Services managing payroll and retirement accounts. Before that she worked for the State of Kansas youth corrections and Pizza Hut. In February of 2022 Vonda was diagnosed with the terminal disease Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, ALS. She fought very hard to keep her independence, having worked until October of last year. Vonda loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was an avid fisherman, and could hold her own against any catfish. She loved camping and traveling with Toby. Together they visited over 40 states. She loved reading, puzzles and gardening her flowers. Not to forget her love of bowling and all her bowling friends.

She is survived by her husband Toby of Great Bend; sisters Kelly Roberts (Kelly), Shona Helms (John) of Larned Kan., Samantha Owens of Wichita Kan.; brother Stacy Pulliam of Independence Mo.; daughters Miriah Jansonius (Jacob) of Omaha Neb., Zarah Baker of Ellinwood Kan. and Shelby Richardson of Hoisington Kan.; 11 grandchildren; and three great grandchildren; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and a host of great friends. She is preceded in death by her parents Bill and Kolita Pulliam; stepfather Harold Hullett; daughter Kiah K Mead; and son Ethan Mead.

Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life service has been scheduled for April 20, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Camp Pawnee in Larned, Kan. Fellowship to follow with potluck lunch, sandwiches provided. Memorials suggested to the ALS Foundation.
