GREAT BEND – Wanda L. Morse, 77, died Oct. 22, 2011 at North Care Hospice House, North Kansas City, Mo.
She was born March 4, 1934 at Great Bend, the daughter of Esther Matilda Appl.
She married Harold Morse June 2, 1949 at Great Bend. He died April 19, 1998. She was bookkeeper for Derby Service Station. Mrs. Morse was a lifetime Great Bend resident. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and Eagles Ladies Auxiliary, both of Great Bend.
Survivors include three daughters, Judy Morse and her husband Bob, Lee’s Summit, Mo.; Carol Potts and her husband Ray, Amarillo, Texas; Sheila Phillips and her husband Greg, Parkville, Mo.; four grandchildren,  Schonna, Macey, Shannon and Brett; three great-grandchildren, Karsten, Emerson, and Tucker.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Esther Matilda (Appl) Conner; and two sons, Norman Morse and Harlan Morse.
A funeral service is scheduled at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 27 at First United Methodist Church in Great Bend with Officiant The Reverend Tom Sheldon. Interment will be at the Great Bend Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, with the family receiving friends from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Bryant Funeral Home.
