NESS CITY — Wanita Marie Munsch Meis Reinert, 88, passed away on April 26, at Great Bend Regional Hospital. Born on Sept. 3, 1925, in Bazine, she was the daughter of Henry and Catherine Depperschmidt Munsch. She was a homemaker and long time resident of Ness City, Kansas.
Ms. Reinert was a member of the F.O.E. Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary, D.A.V. Auxiliary, and the Sunflower Polka Group.
Survivors include her adopted son, William A. Reinert of Great Bend; daughters, Joyce (Charles) Esfeld, of Great Bend, Debbie (Clinton) Stiawalt, of Beeler, and Sandy (Robert) Dunaway, of Holdrege, Neb; brothers, Lawrence and Harry both of Cheyenne Wells, Colo., Jerry (Clara Rose) of Ness City, and Robert (Mary) of Lawrence; sisters-in-law, Martina Holmes, Marina Munsch, Vera Munsch, and Sharon Munsch, all of Ness City; grandchildren, Mark Esfeld of Wichita, Tony Esfeld of Plano, Texas, Beth Esfeld of Colwich, Jennifer Domebo of Bel Air, Nathan Stiawalt of Ness City, Breanne Dunaway of Houston, Texas and Blake Dunaway, Holdrege; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Joe, Ralph, Edwin, and Leroy Munsch; sisters, Velma Boltz, and Arlene Hanan; and former husband, Luke C. Meis.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday at the Sacred Heart Church in Ness City. Inurnment will be at the Sacred Heart Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Ness City Volunteer Fire Department. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.fitzgeraldfuneral.com.
