STAFFORD – Wayne L. Meschberger, 88, died Jan. 31, at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City. Born Oct. 4, 1926, in rural Stafford, he was the son of Daniel and Lena Lichte Meschberger. He was a 1944 graduate of Stafford High School. On June 21, 1949, he married Linda Myers at Lorraine. She died on March 7, 2009. He was a farmer/electrician in the Stafford area for most of his life.  
Survivors include his children, Gail (Bill) Teten, Max (Alesa) Meschberger and Jane Meschberger; brother, Marion Meschberger; grandchildren, Makenzie Meschberger, Faith Lynn and Alice Bruno; and great-grandchildren. Harper and Sylvia Bruno.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. on Wednesday at the Calvary Baptist Church in Stafford with Pastor Jim Dillion presiding. Visitation will be from 1 to 7 p.m. today, with the family receiving friends from 5 to 7 p.m., at Minnis Chapel in Stafford. Memorials may be sent to Calvary Baptist Church in care of the chapel.
