BISON — William Donald Albers, 65, passed away on July 8, 2017 at the Via Christi Medical Center, St. Francis Campus in Wichita, Kansas. Born on November 20, 1951 in Ransom, he was the son of Donald and Marguerite (Seuser) Albers.
He was a carpenter and a member of Praise Fellowship Church in Ransom. He played the guitar for the Moody Hooters band, enjoyed working wood with his hands and engraving metal. He was an EMT in Hutchinson for many years. He married Marlene Bortz on April 22, 1972, in LaCrosse. She survives.
Other survivors include sons, Matthew Albers of Wichita and Mark Albers of Olathe; daughter, Sara Herman and her husband, Dustin of Topeka; brother, Albert Albers and his wife, Jeanette of Ransom; sisters, Donna Klitzke and her husband, Fred of Glendale, Ariz., and Linda Dietz and her husband, Stuart of Hudson; grandchildren, Christopher Erb, Madison Herman, Delaney Herman, and Jake Herman.
Funeral Service will be on Thursday, July 13, 2017, 10:30 a.m. at the Praise Fellowship Church, Ransom. Burial will be in the Ransom Cemetery, Ransom. Viewing will be at Fitzgerald Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. with the family present from 6 - 8 p.m.
