KANSAS CITY, Kan. — William Harold Clark Sr., 86, passed away on Oct. 30 at Providence Medical Center. Born May 10, 1924, in Kansas City, he was the son of William R. and Lucy (Holmes) Clark. He married Theresa Kratofil on April 24, 1948, and they had three children. He was a machine operator at Westvaco, retiring in 1987,
Mr. Clark was a veteran of the U.S. Army/Aircorps. He was a former member of Blessed Sacrament Church, and at present a member of Christ the King Church. He was a dedicated member of the Nocturnal Adoration Society, the Knights of Columbus, Council 1372, a 50-year member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society, serving as president many of those years, the American Legion, Post 188, and Local 179 AFL-CIO.
Survivors include his wife; daughter and son-in-law, Theresa and Jim Melvin; two sons and daughters-in-law, William H. Jr. and Kristen Clark, and Paul F. and Pamela Clark; a brother, Thomas Clark; two sisters, Catherine Maderak and Patricia Elliot; 12 grandchildren and three great- grandchildren.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Christ the King Catholic Church, 54th and Leavenworth Road, Kansas City, Kan. Entombment will be in Mt. Calvary Mausoleum. Friends may visit from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the church, with the Rosary at 7 p.m. The family would appreciate donations to St. Vincent de Paul Society or to a charity of one’s choice.
