Bake sale keeps getting better

Dear Editor,
The Golden Belt Humane Society/Adopt a Pet have had two events this month. The first being our Adopt a Pet held at Orscheln’s. We had an awesome fund raiser and also 10 dogs went to their forever homes. Thanks to Orscheln’s and their staff for hosting our events each month.  For without each and everyone there, we could not do what we do. Also thank you to each of our faithful dog handlers, that so graciously give of their time. Without them, it would be impossible to find these dogs their forever homes. Then on Feb. 13, Adopt a Pet had a bake sale at Walmart. It was a huge success. We could not ask for a better place to have this sale! We are overwhelmed by our huge support team!  The wonderful people that baked and donated their goodies, to the shoppers buying the items, and the people that just stopped by to donate!  Times are tough, but when it comes to the animals at the shelter, people dig deep into their pockets.  We have  a very giving community!  Thanks so much to each and every one of you. Also, thanks to Walmart for hosting us. This is our third year doing the bake sale, and it just keeps on getting better and better!!
