Yet again the artists have been busy in the “chocolate factory”. There are 150 amazing items artfully arranged – waiting to find a home.  Electronics, kitchen items, team-autographed basketballs (one from Wichita State!), K-State basketball tickets, a Paint Party, jewelry, art-work, an 8-foot metal sunflower sculpture, a cruise – and so much more... donated to our 9th Annual Central Kansas CASA Chocolate Auction by businesses and individuals in the five counties we serve (Russell, Barton, Rice, Ellsworth, Stafford). They are folks who choose to join us year after year to help us serve the children in our community. Their generosity has been overwhelming. So we have ‘built it’ – our own ‘Field of Dreams’ – and we’re hoping you will join us! Call the CASA office (620-792-5544) or come to the Chamber Office (1125 Williams) for tickets before Saturday.
This year we are privileged to host a special guest, The Honorable Larry Hendricks, a District Judge from Topeka who has served on the CASA Board of Directors. Join us at 6:30 p.m. this Saturday, Feb. 1, at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 723 Main, Great Bend. Think of it as your Pre-Super-Bowl Party and a great time to support our CASA program, our volunteers, and the children we serve.                    Donna Staab
