Dear Editor,
I am writing this today to ask what’s up with Great Bend lately. I think we can all agree that there has been a surge in vandalism in certain parts of town (the story on the news about the stolen car). I read yesterday where there was more vandalism. I just wanna know what’s being done. Probably not enough. I was also told that the new chief of police was focused on the drug problems here in town. Well maybe they need to share the focus and combat all the crime in the same way. If Great Bend really wants to attract new business to the area, then the leaders need to take a stand and stop the vandals. If you were a business, would you locate here? So as citizens we need to speak up and pay attention to what’s going on and report it.
