Congratulations to Senior Center Executive Director Rosy Tomlin and her excellent staff upon receiving a state award for an outstanding senior center.
The center offers dietitian and nutritionally planned meals for $3. Take-out meals and frozen dinners are also available.
Local seniors visit the center at various times of the day, and play cards, dominoes and socialize. Also, some card clubs meet regularly at the center.
Programs are offered throughout the month and during January there will be programs on scams, super soups, trade beads, and an attorney is available once a month. Coffee and rolls are available every Tuesday morning.
A pot luck supper is held on the second Tuesday night of each month with a varied entree each time. A wonderful ice cream social occurs on the third Thursday of each month.
The advisory council members invite new comers and long time residents to enjoy the facilities. Nobody cares if you have a penny or a dime in your pockets or purse. It is just a comfortable place to spend your noon hour, or any other time of the day.
