People talk about baseball in Great Bend in a past tense.
Maybe it’s time to look forward. There have been some great accomplishments in baseball in the last few years. Three straight Class AAA Legion State Tournament appearances, the last a second-place finish, something that has not been accomplished in years.
The 2016 high school baseball team brought home a WAC Title. Our current Class A Legion team finished second at the Class A Legion State Tournament and is still playing.
The current success started years ago, with great community support, the hard work of many, and most importantly the hard work and dedication of the kids that played on these teams. Great Bend baseball has a strong foundation and the future looks bright. Thanks for your support of the Great Bend American Legion baseball program!
