Dear editor,

There are very good people in our area. As I was putting my groceries on the counter to pay yesterday I was tapped on the shoulder by a lady who handed me a gift card to the store and said, ”Take this. I want you to have it.” Surprised, I asked, “Why?” She replied, “I just want you to have this.” Then she walked away as I was asking her name. This act of kindness will not be forgotten and is greatly appreciated. I don’t know who you are but know that you have a kind heart and it gives me much hope for people who will show kindness to others.
