Let Chief Couch do his job

Dear Editor,
I had the opportunity to meet Chief Couch for the first time at a veterans event, when he first came to town. Since then I’ve gotten to know Chief Couch and learn what kind of man he is.
Chief Couch is a man of honor, dedication, loyalty and honesty. He believes strongly in his officers and this community. As a Marine who served our country with distinction and as a law enforcement officer who has sworn to serve and protect, the City of Great Bend is blessed to have such an individual as our Chief of Police.
Chief Couch does not take his job lightly; if he feels there is a reason for an investigation into the dealings of our City Administrator, then he should be allowed to do just that. By suspending Chief Couch it only raises suspicion of wrong doing by the City Council and City Administrator. What do you have to hide? If city business is being conducted on the up and up, then let Chief Couch perform his duties for which he was hired.
Thank you Chief Couch for your service!
