Dear Editor,
A huge thank you to all who supported the fight against domestic violence by joining us for the Chicken and Sausage Gumbo dinner, buying cinnamon rolls and/or giving generous donations. Our overhead was covered through personal and business donations, so every penny of the over $2,000 that was raised goes to the Family Crisis Center for their work. We loved having so many people come for the meal, and we look forward to holding our fourth dinner again next year!
The Ministry Against Domestic Violence is a non-denominational group that meets at 7 p.m. every third Tuesday of the month at the Family Crisis Center. Our work is dedicated to educating people about domestic violence and how we can help through prevention and by listening to and encouraging the victims to seek help.
