At a time when our state is struggling with complex financial issues and revenue shortfalls, the citizens of Barton County are fortunate to have Homer Kruckenberg as a community leader. He has helped Barton County remain debt-free and in a sound fiscal position with his good judgment and prudent spending decisions.
Growing up as a farm boy outside Great Bend, Homer learned the tough lessons of hard work and frugal spending. Those lessons continue to serve him well as a Barton County Commissioner.
With his conservative approach, Homer has helped Great Bend and its surrounding communities move forward with progressive initiatives, as in public safety and road & bridge improvement. Homer does not over-reach nor does he support projects or questionable spending that involves speculation and short-term solutions.
A career educator in the Great Bend school system, Homer is uncompromising in his continued support for educational advancement to help todays youth compete in tomorrows job market.
As a graduate of GBHS who can attest to his strong character and good judgment, I am pleased to support Homer Kruckenberg for re-election as Barton County Commissioner for District 2.
