Dear Editor,
First of all let me express my sincere gratitude to the Tribune for it’s continued support of the Golden Belt Humane Society and the animals we work with. The articles printed Sunday and Tuesday provide the public with much needed insight into what we do and why we do it. It brings attention to animals in need and the goal to find them all homes which they deserve.
Secondly, thank you again to the public for their continued support through donations, volunteering, much needed supplies and of course adoptions. This community has rallied around these animals in an amazing way. The communities’ generosity is allowing Golden Belt Humane Society to become something we can all be very proud of. We are saving animals daily and that really is what it is all about. With the continued monetary support from the public we are now offering additional services to the animals such as heart worm testing, and in addition we have just introduced micro-chipping to not only the adopted animals from the shelter but to owners that would like to have their pets chipped!
Again I would just like to reiterate that Golden Belt Humane Society has become a “LOW” kill shelter.....only euthanizing animals who are sick, injured, deemed vicious or consider dangerous! Please know that this would not be possible if not for the overwhelming support of our generous community. I urge each of you to come out and visit these wonderful animals and be sure and visit our Facebook page.
Thank you again.
