Dear Editor,
The Great Bend Kiwanis Club wishes to express our sincere gratitude to the Great Bend community for the great support for our 58th annual Pancake Day on March 5, at Expo I. We fed approximately 1,900 people at the event. The pancake day is our only fund raising project for the year and it raises all the funds that we spend during the on our many projects in support of Kiwanis’ focus on youth!

We could not have done the event without the volunteer help from the Sunflower and Rosewood Aktion Clubs as well as the Barton County Cougar women’s volleyball team, the mens and womens golf team and the womens soccer team!Also thanks to the ladies from the Dream Center.
A special thank you goes to the Barton Co. Sheriff’s office for the trustee helpers, Stone Waste Management, Menges Rentals, and Larry
Fowler of Comfort Pro for help in setting up and tearing down the grills.
