Dear Editor,
I want to thank all the agency volunteers, 2014 co-chairs and UWCK Board members and volunteers who helped make Stuff the Bus such a huge success. With the help of local businesses and a bus from USD 428, over $6,000 worth of items helped the 21 agencies of United Way and stretched their tight budgets. These donations stayed locally and helped even more people in the surrounding communities. Larned and Ellinwood also were involved, as well as BCCC and Larned State Hospital. Special thanks to UWCK Board member Dianne Call and Kay Wilbur for coordination the event, getting a place to store the items and organizing the goods for pickup. “It takes a village” and our community is so wonderful in its support of our agencies that put the “Great” in Great Bend. Blessed to be involved in our community.
