Dear Editor,
We would like to thank the Great Bend High School students who came to work on our house during their Community Service Day on April 27th. We are in our 70’s and have recently moved to Great Bend from Kansas City. There are things around our new home that need to be done, but we are unable to do them. We signed up to have volunteers come help with these jobs. Carrie Mintons class helped pour a concrete slab for a shed, got a good start on painting our trim, cleaned up our yard, and laid edging around a flower garden. We would like to thank: Carrie Minton, Keely Ireland, Jessenia Rodriguez, Priscila Aguilera, Calista Long, Sarah Mauler, Lauren Welsch, Noah Presson, and Jordan Popp.
