Dear Editor,
I want to thank all the wonderful people in Great Bend that took time to call me after my last letter. All the advice you all shared was very much appreciated.
Many of you wanted me to put the landlords name in the paper; I am not going to do that at this time, as I am hoping he will appreciate the fact that we paid him February rent and gave a 30-day notice even though we have moved my daughter out. Although I am saddened by how he has treated my daughter, I am going to give him the benefit of the doubt at this time.
We have learned a lesson the hard way and because of this situation and the kindness of the people in the town she was placed in. We will pay it forward and help students here in our own town.
Thank you again, my daughter will miss Great Bend.
Deb Taylor,
Concordia
(EDITOR’S NOTE: For the record, according to Tribune Public Forum policy, had a particular rental owner been named, the original letter would not have run. It is against our policy — and has been for many years — to allow a particular local business to be taken to task in a Public Forum. That remains between you and the business.)
Thanks for support on rent issue
