Dear Editor,Thank you for the article Karen La Pierre wrote about us (“Hiking Humanitarian” walks through Great Bend). I want to add that after leaving Great Bend we encountered one of the highlights of our entire journey, the Cheyenne Bottoms Wildlife Area. This is an international reserve for a major migratory route. The most numerous wayfarers are geese, both Canadian and Snow, but we encountered ducks, sandpipers, herons, pheasants, hawks and blackbirds as well.
Thanks for the coverage
