Congratulations to the RSVP Thrift Store in Hoisington. The community support and many volunteers over the years can not be given enough praise. I need to make one correction to the article. Neither the Commission on Aging of Great Bend or Hoisington had anything to do with the RSVP Thrift Shop. The RSVP advisory council was responsible for the idea and developing the store under the wonderful leadership of Selma Webb. Without the constant involvement of Selma Webb the shop would not have continued to provide the funds for the operation of the RSVP program. As a great supporter of recycling, I feel this shop not only provides great merchandise at a great price, but gives citizens the opportunity to recycle items that might otherwise be filling up the landfill.
