I would like to thank the members of the Great Bend Beautification Committee for their hard work and financial contributions to enhance the streets and city property throughout Great Bend. 
The new statuary and landscaping at the library, the flower pots on the corners of Main Street, the circle garden at the courthouse, the flower gardens at the tennis courts, Veterans Park and the library, all enhance the quality of life here. The lovely drive along Broadway with the brick pavers along the islands are something to be proud of. 
The leadership of Beautification Committee members, past and present, shows civic pride. 
Not everyone may realize that the fund raising for these projects comes not from the taxpayers but from the Great Bend Beautification Committee.
Special thanks also goes to the volunteers of the Great Bend High School class who have watered the Main Street flower pots during this very hot summer.
