Dear Editor,
On Nov 30, the American Legion Riders were honored to again lead the Great Bend Christmas Parade. However, the event was marred by an individual who was riding in an unsafe manner, and presented a danger to the spectators present. This individual is not a member of the American Legion Riders, nor a member of the other local motorcycling groups that took part in the parade. On behalf of the Great Bend motorcycling community, I want to apologize for this individual’s actions, and to stress that this type of behavior is not condoned and will not be tolerated in future events.
