Last Friday morning I went to the meet and greet event for Donald Hobson. While I was there a gentleman dropped in and shared a revealing comment. He said that he and Rick Wilborn have been good friends for many years, but that he would not vote for Wilborn because, “He has been a lobbyist.”
I went home and looked through the many campaign cards Wilborn has mailed. Nowhere on his literature does Wilborn list “lobbyist” as one of his distinguished qualifications for state senator.
I personally doubt a person who has cozied up to legislators on behalf of a special interest industry can be objective while representing us in Topeka. I will be voting for Donald Hobson, Tuesday August 5th.
