Limit the kids’ screen time

How much is too much?

I’m talking about the influence media has on our children’s lives! If you knew a neighbor or friend was telling your kids that it is okay for them to lie or cheat or steal, you would probably go have a talk with them. If you look at what today’s movies and social media are pushing on kids today, that is exactly what you’d see! They are telling our kids what is wrong is right and what is right is wrong.

I read today that says a study shows that kids who get on social media early in their lives (8 or 9 years old) struggle more later on with low self-esteem and depression than kids who waited until they were older (16 and up). I hope we can get kids involved with things other than the all-consuming screen time this summer.
