To the editor:

On our way to Phoenix to see my wife’s dying sister, she has cancer, we had an accident in Great Bend. My wife was hurt; she broke some ribs and fractured some also. The police called Marshall’s Towing and Recovery. Our SUV was not drivable. Larry Marshall offered to take us to the emergency room to be checked out. He also picked us up when we were done. He helped us find a body shop.

Rod Straub and Somebody’s Body Shop have been very helpful finding parts to repair our vehicle.

Larry also helped us find a motel and unload our SUV into the rental car. He even took us to Hutchinson to pick it up.

Here we are 700 miles from home, don’t know a soul. He was a hero to us that day. We think he is a great guy and a wonderful ambassador.

We think you are very lucky to have a citizen like that.
