The death of Roy Clark reminds me of when he performed at a concert in Great Bend. His appearance was co-sponsored by the 1st National Bank and a radio station in Wichita owned by Mack Sanders. I believe the concert was held at the airport and traffic extended solid between Ellinwood and Great Bend.
